Calendula officinalis is also known as pot marigold, common marigold or Scotch marigold and is a member of the Asteraceae (Daisy) family. It is widely cultivated and used in Naturopathic Medicine. The flowers and leaves are edible.

The Australian native Hibiscus tiliaceus is also known as a beach hibiscus.
Found along beach fronts and in coastal tidal creeks, this hibiscus has extraordinary branch angles in mature trees, and extrafloral nectaries on the sepals and the veins on the back of the leaf. These attract ants, that then protect the tree from other animals. The beautifully coloured Harlequin beetle is often a visitor to this plant.

Aplant that enjoys being situated close to flowing creeks, it is often noticed when the fruit is found along a walking trail.

The Australian native tree, Backhousia citriodora, commonly known as the Lemon Myrtle draws to its summer flowers an extraordinary range of pollinators. Rosellas and Lorikeets follow later to eat the tiny hard fruits that are produced. Dried leaves used in tea.
